How to open an account in DM BOS SA?

1. First of all you should register. After sending a registration form (your data transfer is secured), you will receive an ID and password, which will be a necessary and sufficient key to place orders via Stocks On Line. In your interest you should keep the password in secret.

2. After receiving your registration, an officer of DM BOS will send all necessary documents (agreements) to the given address.

3. The signatures on properly completed Agreement forms must be authenticated by a notary public. Instead of such authentication by a notary public, DM BOS may also accept a bank account statement including your full name and address if sent to the DM BOS.

ATTENTION!!!
The Client who is a natural person domiciled abroad and is entering into the agreement by mail, shall be obliged to have the signature authenticated by a respective Polish diplomatic mission or consular office.

4. After signing the Agreements, please send them to: Dom Maklerski BOS SA ul. Marszałkowska 78/80, Warsaw, Poland, together with a copy of your ID card (copies of the pages featuring the photo, the address, and the ID number). DM BOS officer send you number of your account on which you transfer the money (minimum initial deposit is 10.000 PLN - about 2.500 USD). After that you can start to invest on the Warsaw Stock Exhange.

Do I need special software to operate on the account through the internet?

No. Internet Explorer 5.x with SSL protocol should be sufficient.

Commissions and fees

  • 0,4% for equities,
  • 15 PLN per contract,
  • 0,29% for bonds.

What are the costs of opening and maintaining of the acount in DM BOS?

Specially for the Internet investors, we dipped linear commissions to the level of 0,4% of the value of transactions (equities) and 15 PLN/side for futures. The minimum initial deposit is 10 000 PLN - 2 500 USD.

There is no provision for opening an account.

Are there any special regulations for foreign investors?

Foreign investors are generally subject to the same rules and regulations as Polish investors. The rule of free entry and exit in Poland in terms of foreign investment. Capital gains can be repatriated without obtaining any permission.

Taxes

Capital gains made by Polish individuals are subject to 19% tax. Revenue from the sale of securities can be reduced by the historical cost of their purchase, which is defined as the purchase price of the securities plus all costs and fees directly relating to the purchase.

Dividends are subject to a 19% withholding tax.

Capital gains earned by Polish companies should be combined with their other income and taxed at the standard CIT rate of 19%.

Foreign investors are subject to basically the same regulations as domestic investors. Tax obligations of foreign investors deriving income in Poland are regulated by the double taxation agreements. The majority of the double taxation agreements signed by Poland provide that gains earned on the disposal of securities and other financial instruments may be taxed only in the state in which the legal entity receiving the income has its seat or place of management. However, some of the agreements signed by Poland contain different regulations.

Transfer

How to transfer money to DM BOS account and how much does it costs?

We do not charge additional fees when you transfer money to your account in DM BOS. Our bank (BOS SA) converts your currency (e.g. USD, EUR) for Zlotys according to his standard rate.

Note!
When you transfer more than 100 000 USD please contact us to negotiate conversion rate.

Your bank can charge you for such transfer. These fees unfortunately vary by institution and cannot be displayed here for all transfer types.

How can I withdraw my money from your account?

First of all you should place disposition of money trasfer into the account sepcified in the contract. You can do it via internet. Then we exchange your zloties for your local currency in BOS Bank and send it by SWIFT.

Are my money secure?

Definitively.
We use the most modern 128-bit encryption standards, our certificate is approved by Verisign, we use fire walls.

  • permanent monitoring.

You can also choose special hardware (token) which will generate additional unique password per each session (cost 200 PLN).

Any transfer from your account can be made only on your banking account specified in the contract.
